In the interest of full disclosure; I think Chip Foose's design esthetic has come and gone... all of his vehicles look exactly the same... slam it... add HUGE wheels... then sell it to Hot Wheels.

At least he stays "on brand."

i have to tell you, as fun as overhaulin is to watch and as talented as chip foose is, i think his stuff looks really dated and i couldn't be less into it

I've met the guy and had some good conversation. He is a very likeable personality, and much like you see him on TV. His designs are typically from a "certain" artists perspective though. Think of how artists are often good at one category. Portraits, nature, city architectural, etc. I believe his is hotrods. To take him out of that element, he may not be able to visualize off road rigs due to not being able to relate. You look back at his history from his days with Boyd and California styled hot rods, to Overhaulin. One constant theme is low, mean, chopped and stylistic. So even though I am not a fan of what he has done here, it stays true to what he does.

Only version i would want to maybe ever see would be some of Dave Kindigs ideas. I prefer his design asthetic more than foose by a mile.
