Two and a half months into owning our bronco and only 3900km, I’m starting to notice oil spots on the ground under the vehicle. I got underneath to take a look and found oil dripping from the rear main seal area.
Can’t tell if it’s from the seal, or dripping from above. Seems to only drip for a short while after driving and I park inside condo garage, it doesn’t drip while I’m parked at work outside (2-5° Celsius outside these last couple days).
I have checked the dipstick to see if the oil level has dropped and it’s actually sitting above the max fill hole. The Engine was warm when I checked but left to sit for 15 minutes For the oil to settle back.
I called the dealer Monday to make a service appointment. I couldn’t get through so I left a message, but still waiting to hear back. I will call back tomorrow if I don’t hear anything.
