I went with 33.8 Nitto Terra Grapplers G2 and removed the crash bars. I don't know if it would have cleared, but I removed just to be safe.
Rim is Fuel Vapor 17x9 with +20 offset (from Tire Rack).
By the way, Tire Rack kind of sucked compared to Simple Tire when it comes to available sizes of tires. I couldn't find any tires in stock I liked that had a set of 4 available. On Simple Tire I easily found a set of 285/75/17.
So I ended up using both services for the entire upgrade.
