I was watching a video posted by FreeWheelin Overland on Youtube that was posted 2 hours ago. It says in the description that it is a 4 door Bronco Badlands with the 2.7L and automatic, Sasquatch. Behind the driver / passenger seat is this roll cage. This an add-on? Maybe a rear seat delete? I don't see the rear seats up, maybe they're folded down? First time I have seen a 4 door like this.

There is music that plays over it, so no sound.

Probably just insurance/liability/safety reasons due to the nature of driving their employees are doing.

Another one of the early prototypes probably. Presumably part of the reason these early units are being beaten up is as a distraction before the good ones that were being used for press reviews coming out tomorrow.

It’s a test mule bronco. Not production spec
I know its a pre-production model. Im askimg if we'll be able to get the roll cage as an add-on or a rear seat delete. It looks too nicely built not to be.

Not everything done to boost safety of the test units is as garbage looking as the big red button on the dash.

I happen to be a huge fan of the big red button.

I hope it’s an option for the production models.

Short answer...No, especially not from the factory.

Internal roll cages can actually be quite dangerous when not being used properly. Without proper 4 or 5 point seat belts/harness and a helmet, a roll cage can and will cause a lot of head damage in a road accident.

I did notice that the one with the cage was hitting most of the obstacles first. This was probably to make sure if it did roll, the guy with the cage was a guinea pig.
