Maybe @cf_davey was right on the other thread about them shipping them though, and it's because they a way way behind on the whole MIC 2.0 plan. Time is kind of running up against a wall for them.

I’m still impartially biased towards my possible idea. Newer original versions are put on all existing builds and future builds and then shipped. Do we really think that the Webasto plan has been idle until the new tooling arrives? Doubtful. Ford needs the revenue from these builds. What was it, 33% decrease in sales or something. Stock holders and investors don’t like that. Ship now and make the initial profit and then pay to ship the roofs.
Also, I bet they are running out of soft tops to put on!!

The Bronco Customer Satisfaction Program makes me think they are further behind than they originally anticipated. Giving a dealer up to $1000 per customer leads me to believe that this email coming by the end of this month (to explain delivery timing for Dirt Mountain) is going to piss off a lot of people. If shipping our Broncos with MIC 1.0 was a remote possibility they would have never released the current plan and held a livestream event explaining the process moving forward. The total cost for the new top, shipping, and labor is likely 2 to 3 times more than the $1000 that the dealer has access to in order to make us happy.

The salesman at my dealer I talked to yesterday sounded desperate for them to come in so they could actually sell something.

Same here. Lead generation is down significantly in the past three months. Most consumers aren't interested in paying "Market Value" for most vehicles. We have 8 Broncos on Dirt Mountain that I would love to get delivered this month.

Things can change though when it hits September and all of a sudden it looks like it may now take more than three months to get it all going right. Things are hard to get now, try to buy some rotella oil at any retailer or O'Reilly brake cleaner at any store in Texas at least.

So Ford announced the MIC top replacement campaign on 8/13 and a little over 3 weeks later things have already gone south…again?

NOTE: I did not use the “off the rails” phrase.

Expect anything different?

FWIW I saw this posted on a Bronco Facebook group. Letters are going out to people that have already taken delivery of their MIC Broncos.

this would be one of the least shocking thing to happen. Given that they believe it will take until 2023 to fulfill the original orders, I would wager that things aren’t going to plan with MIC 2.0.

The letter is pretty general, 4th quarter.
Right, that was my point in posting. I'm still hoping all us O.G. Bad Batchers get released from Dirt Mountain soon, but we all know how Ford' s "anticipated" dates have worked out so far. 4th quarter does include December after all😒
