Good Evening,

Tackling the B&O Sound system again. Recently saw they make 6.5” rear pods now. My question is it worth it or will better 4” speakers be just as good and put that money elsewhere into the system.Thank you

Agreed to the above, worth it, no flash needed.

The rear is built as fill, and the 6.5 makes a welcome difference. I've listened to a few setups and I am really excited to make that next move to upgrade the stereo and fully intend to put 6.5s out back.

I have a different opinion on it than most.

When I replaced 1 front speaker and faded back and forth from new to OE, the difference was massive.

When I did that in the rear (OE 4” to aftermarket 6.5”), the difference was underwhelming for the ~$350 I was into it for pods and speakers. If I were to do it again, I’d save a bunch and just put matching 4” in the rear—and use that extra money toward a sub upgrade (which I am doing anyway now).

The reason you didn’t hear much difference is bc there is a low pass filter going to the rear pods. You need to make an adjustment in Forscan to get the full signal to the rear speakers.

So recommendation from all if I were to do this in two parts?

1st MOD
3x Front Speakers and replace 2x 4" to 6" rear pods.

2nd MOD
2X Door Speakers, Amp, and Sub

Maaan speaker brand options are a bit overwhelming. I haven’t seen a consensus on what is the go to. I’ve seen Kickr CS, Focal, infinity ref, hertz….
