I've decided to run with the red theme for my truck since I got it in Rapid Red. I got a leather/carbon fiber steering wheel cover with red piping. Also got the grab handle inlays from Stickerfab which turned out great. Then I decided to add some red pinstriping across the bottom lip of the dash to visually tie the grab handle inlays together by continuing the red all the way across. So far I'm really happy with the way it has turned out. I'm not sure if I will do any more red accents on the dash since I don't want to go overboard with it, but I do have a plan to eventually do katzkin seat covers with red piping and stitching.

FYI, the pinstriping across the dash wasn't any sort of proprietary product for the Bronco, I just bought a roll of red pinstripe tape at AutoZone for 4 bucks. Figured even if it came out like crap I could just take it off, and I only lost out on 4 dollars so it was worth a shot.

Basically I just wanted to share this to pass along an idea that I hadn't seen yet, but also would like to hear some input if there is anything I should maybe add to continue the red theme (without getting too gaudy).

Where did you order the steering wheel cover if you don't mind me asking? All looks good, the only other thing I've see is putting the red on BRONCO over the glove box....but you are right about it being a slippery slope to overdoing it....right now it looks great IMO.

I'm debating doing the red BRONCO letters over the glove box. I would actually prefer to do something with texture here, like stainless steel lettering, but I haven't found anyone who makes it yet.

As for the steering wheel cover, I got it on Amazon. Here is the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZQHR8R5?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

Not hard at all. I removed the handles using the tools supplied with the Bronco which made the installation easy by setting the handles down on a table and just taking my time. I used an eyeglass screwdriver to handle the tiny letters. Didn't rip any, but they do give you extra in case you do.

Doesn't look bad. I wouldn't add anymore red though. If anything, I think that pin stripe should be 1/2 the width.

Cool. I like the idea here.
Suggestions (not a critique, per se'):
I would re-do the far driver portion of the pinstripe where it drops off a tad at the steering wheel end of the panel. Keep it straight and on the same plane as the radius of that edge.
I would also entertain the recessed Bronco decal for the Dash.
I don't think it would be too much, and help tie in eye level accents and balance left-to-right with the steering wheel cover.
I think your idea and vision are good, execution is about 90% so far.
But as you said, sometimes it can get to be too much.
Less is usually more.
I am a big fan of accenting, and we all have to be careful because it can get out of hand easily and we are "snowblind" to it, but others see it and think "Wow, I think I would have stopped at this or that point."
Keep us posted!

I had trouble bending the pinstriping around that radius portion by the steering wheel. I initially had it following that radius exactly but it kept peeling off. I had to soften the bend to get it to work - but I agree with you, that would have looked better if it would have stayed. Someone on this thread mentioned using a thinner pinstripe. That is probably a good idea since it would be more willing to bend.
