Adjusting how much rock rails extend out from the body?

so I got these side steps that attach to the rock rails, but it looks like the rails on the right side are closer to the body & don’t allow attachment of the side step. Is there a way to adjust the spacing so the rail hangs out a little further from the body?

Is that dirt on the side of your Bronco or pin-striping?

As for the rock rails - They uninstall super easy if you crawl under the Bronco and you can probably tighten/loosen the bolts to see if that helps.

Have you hit any rocks on them? Curious if the mounting bracket could be slightly bent.
