Hello, im new so I hope I am posting in the right section. I bought this 24 black diamond in February and im looking to lift it of course. I would love to hear any feed back on this planned set up.
I was looking at the Rough country 3.5in lift kit with the struts, 37in MT’S, and the Rough country 17x8.5 wheels. Im not in a rush but just excited to start adding stuff to it. How do yall think those colored wheels would look on it? Will the 37s fit pretty comfortable under there with the 3.5in lift? Any help and advice is appreciated, thank yall!

I like the wheels and tires, are the wheels the correct offset, are you using this offroad?

To be honest I am not 100% sure on the offset correctness. I just did the guided search on custom offset and those are the wheels that custom offset suggested for "easy fit". They are 0mm offset.
The most offroading ill be doing is taking my kids hunting or fishing, mainly just looking to add lift and tires for it to look awesome.

I'm pretty picky about what I trust RC with but I bought my suspension like a nice pair of shoes and spent more than I did when I was a young dude.

I would definitely get the JKS max clearance or equivalent. I also have 0 offset and it helps with clearance but adds to the scrub radius.

The copper/bronze with blue has been a Scoobu staple fpr a while and looks good when done well.

You only have 4 tires in your cart.

I super appreciate the help man. Do you got any suggestions on kits that similarly priced for what im trying to do.

Gotcha on the JKS KIT.

Is scoobu referencing subaru? I wasnt sure if I should play it safe and just go black wheels or make it stand out with the copper looking ones. Kinda leaning towards the copper or bronze look, I just aint sure if I should go with darker colored ones.

Haha man I laughed when I read i only had 4 tires in the cart. Good attention to detail lol. I did have the full size spare option checked though.

Thanks!

Nope on the coilovers from RC. Much like other people, I'm picky what I use from RC. They make some decent stuff, don't get me wrong, but if you look at their coilovers vs anybody else, "cheap" is definitely obvious.

If you're looking at affordable but still pretty good, pick up an Eibach 2.0 set. Upper control arms, pick ones you like, I went with Icon. From there, rear panhard bar relocation bracket.

Also, 37s on a non-Sasquatch is a little tougher given you're not going to have the 4.70 gears. Black Diamond does have 4.46 so you are better than in other cases, but your highway drive may not be 100% ideal.

I'll bite, if you destroy how your ride preforms for a look you may not like your ride much longer. This lift kit is very low budget for such an important function. If this were a 1979 CJ leaf sprung all the way around (as they were). Then I would say go ahead and use the cheap stuff. Most people buy this vehicle because it is a step or two above leaf springs. If you want a cheap "in the meantime" till you can afford a good lift do pucks. I hear good things about eibach lifts. Icon has several stages. I do think your gears will be fine. I ran 38's on 3.50 gears with a 4.2 I6 on a 79' HEEP.

IMO, if you don't plan to wheel and just going for looks, just do an inexpensive puck lift and go w/ 35s rather than 37s...it'll look great and save ya some cash for other upgrades.
