Aftermarket Blind Spot Monitoring System

Hello,

I'm purchasing a Big Bend with manual transmission - which means the standard package w/o any advanced safety stuff. So no Blind Spot monitoring, which is what my wife would like to have.

Anybody have a recommendation for an aftermarket unit? I've heard that Brandmotion is good - https://brandmotion.com/product-category/fleet-safety-radar-blind-spot-monitoring/ - though it seems pricey. btw I have the standard bumpers in my order, I mention because evidently a steel bumper can cause problems in the operability of a BSMS.

I did some calling around the Chicago area and spoke with Aaron @ ABT: https://www.abt.com/help/car-electronics-installation

They hasn't done this on a Bronco yet but they estimated $1,500 - $1,600 and it would take 5 to 6 hours.

So for anybody in Northern California: Autohaus Automotive Systems has installed Blind Spot Monitoring Systems on Broncos - contact them at https://autohausautomotive.net/cherry-services/blind-spot-detection-systems/ to ensure your unit is compatible (I believe steel bumpers may be an issue - potential signal interference). Priced at about $1700 not including taxes.

Blindspot monitoring comes with mid package or higher.

I don't believe it is included and seems like they could ad it at the ford service but they say it's not possible if it isn't ordered with it, funny I am sure they don't have a different computer for each different option configuration
If I find a solution I will post it

At some of those aftermarket prices, it seems that if those are must-have items, then Big Bend might not make the most sense.

Note: Not trying to talk you out of the model, but that price is what price is, what's the price of the other model you're after that also gives you the tech items?

Note: Mad props for sticking with the MT!!!!!! It's a great transmission to pair with the 2.3 and solves Ranger's biggest drivetrain flaw.
