Aftermarket Hardtops When?

Anyone know when and where after market 3rd party hard tops will be available?

But honestly, I think the aftermarket is going to take just as long to get something to market as ford will take fixing the situation.

I doubt we'll see any this year, but would guess at least some concepts will show up next year. Can't remember now who makes the roof with the built in tent with access to tent from inside the truck, they already showed their concept. Expensive, but if you want to camp on top, nice and clean.

Ugh I get lots of snow and not looking forward to 2-3yrs of snow with a soft top.

that will probably not happen for a while. the cost of producing a hard top would probably be prohibitive when there is a factory produced top. the customer demand would not make it a profitable venture. most who want a hard top will get one from the factory. the current situation with the defects is temporary, and all the produced hard tops will be replaced under the warranty program so the idea that a company will be producing a hard top does not seem like a profitable business venture...

If you check these guys out on IG they say in the comments on different posts about the Bronco they say they will have a top for the 4DR by the end of the year and the 2DR in 22.

They have a Bronco to scan and try stuff on. ....and already are making products.

If 2 door soft tops were a factory option today someone would make hardtops. I don’t think anyone will find it cost effective to produce large numbers of hard tops.

the cost of tooling up a facility, engineering the product. training a workforce to produce, marketing and shipping would make it cost prohibitive to produce. also the limited length of time where there is a legitamite demand for the top is limited. there have been less than 10000, total produced broncos so far. the cost to produce would make it too expensive to make. best bet would be to find a current top and make a mold to reproduce it in fiberglass, but there would probably be a bunch of patent infringements. ford will remedy the problem soon enough... sooner than in independent company could, based solely on availability of resources...

Personally I'm holding out for a safari top just because I want headroom.

I also messaged them on their site about the hard top. There's some big business just from B6G alone if they are quality and decently priced!

Pricing seems OK. $425 for front Ranger fenders.

The Yota crowd seems to like them.
