I am getting a 2 door big bend standard pkg. The only thing mid package offered that I wanted was heated seats (plus I wanted a manual anyway.) I know I can add aftermarket seat heaters with no issue, but could I theoretically tie them into the aux switches to avoid ugly universal switches?

As I was opening this thread up I was thinking - I wonder if he'll as about wiring to the aux switches cause that'd be pretty neat....

I'm curious as well!

I'm not sure which wires run closest to your seats, but I would say in theory yes, depending on the heaters wire. Depending on proximity, it shouldn't be an issue. You just wouldn't be able to have a low, med, high setting, just on or off.

Cheers.

Nice that's what I figured, if nobody else does it before me I'll be sure to document the process

i think only issue would be sacrificing high/low as previously stated. I installed heaters and used aux switches but only after the high/low. Heres a pic of where i mounted my switches. They look factory to me.

Just some universal heaters on Amazon. Working great so far. Install was easy for me because i was already putting on Katzkinz leather.

did you do your own katzkin install? did you need to remove the seats entirely?

Except the switches are upside down to the other switches 🤣 just poking fun I like this location choice.

I’m thinking of just buying Sportsman Camo covers. I’ve got them in both of my Super Duty’s and they are great, do y’all think it would be an issue putting the heaters between the factory seats and the covers?
