Every squat, lean, or bend sets the horn blaring in my driveway. Ok, maybe that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but already it’s happened an infinite time more than previously, 15/0 compared to prior vehicle.

is there a way to disable this button on the fob? I’m willing to try a small drill or something, but I wonder if anyone else tried. I’m willing to risk not being able to hit the panic button.

You aren’t alone….it’s just taught me how to disarm it faster…..or it just wants attention.

I have this problem with pretty much every vehicle I own. I haven't done it to a ford fob yet, but I usually open them up and just put a piece of tape or post-it note over the circuit board contact for that button.

Or just do this...
Or, I just don't wear pants at all.

Ditch your skinny jeans...hammer pants are your friend.

Based on other fobs, pop it open and cut off the rubber tab under the alarm button that makes contact with the circuit board, it will absolutely make it less sensitive.

There's a Forscan change that can be done to either make it double click for alarm or fully disable alarm. Just need an OBD2 adapter from Amazon and the Forscan software on a Windows laptop.

I tried looking into this. Does this cause any warrantee concerns?

If you do anything other then put gas in your car it's gonna be a warranty concern. Use forscan to change it to a double press and you'll be good to go.
