Alberta owners, mud flaps?

Some folks have bought just universal mud flaps and made them work. Don't look as nice, or will not hold up as well over time (IMO), but will get the job done. There's lots of options available at retailers/online.

I'd assume just get some universal flaps and self tapping screws and screw them in wherever?

What does “Passenger cars do not require mud flaps” mean? Interested if someone has installed a universal pair, which ones, and how they fit on a Sasquatch.

So I said I was gonna do Xpel as a DIY but I just can't find the time so I'm on board with the mud flap crew.

I made some very simple flap mounts kind of like a lot of bigger trucks have with mud flaps from Canadian tire and some hardware from home depot. Total cost is $80. I used the mounting brackets for the crash bars since I don't have crash bars. I still have to paint the hardware but I think it looks ok. Sharing in case anyone else get inspiration from it. Also this didn't require putting any screws into the body or cutting around the slider.
