Any Alberta owners in the group? Did your Bronco come with mud flaps, as they are a legal requirement in this province.

If mud flaps are a legal requirement I've never seen it enforced in the province as they are rarely ever on Jeeps. They are accessories so your Bronco won't come with them unless you add them to the order.

I had no idea mud flaps were a legal requirement here. That certainly isnā€™t enforced by any dealer Iā€™ve bought a vehicle from.

Wife had been ticketed before for it. Our Tacoma came with them from the factory.
But after doing a little more research dealers arenā€™t required to provide them. So just a heads up, apparently itā€™s rare, but you can be ticketed the moment you leave the lot.

I learned something today! Thanks for this - thereā€™s a few peeps on the road throwing stones like a Gatling Gun that need to ā€œflap upā€ that I may mention this next time I talk to them.

Interesting - I guess it makes sense. We've all likely had a rock his out windshield due to someone without mud flaps kicking up rocks.

I bought a set of the Gatorback ones to help with paint chips due to rocks, but also so I don't pepper the vehicles behind me.

I can't make myself stomach $1,200 CAD for f&cking mudflaps, I don't care how well built they are.

*edit* spelling, doh

Agreed.
Iā€™ll wait for Rokblokz to come out with a set. Run them on our Tacoma and theyā€™ve been great.

never seen it enforced here

today I ordered the splash guards, $70 a pair and I'll cut out for the rock rails to fit sometime next week

Originally wasn't planning on putting them on, but if the SAS MT tires throw rocks that bad I'll want the extra protection

BD SAS, mine did not. Presume none of them do.

It is pretty common for people with duallies to get a ticket. Probably because it is more obvious. I am going to get some for my Bronco just to save the rocker panels and rear quarters from getting sand blasted so much. I put mud flaps on my F-350 right away for the same reason.

Have any of you guys found any cheaper alternatives to the Gatorbacks?

Some folks have bought just universal mud flaps and made them work. Don't look as nice, or will not hold up as well over time (IMO), but will get the job done. There's lots of options available at retailers/online.
