So I thought slam dunk. This could be done. But sadly you can’t. Every time you turn off the vehicle the power would be removed and allow to work. Also you would be energizing the relay that would close so then you would have to add a normally closed relay to have your switch open it. But let’s go back to turning off key and it makes it not work. Only if you wanted it to stay up while the key is on.

Apologies for not returning to this post to update after making my final change to overcome this challenge. I ended up rerouting power to the controller inside the cabin to the AMP switch only now it is just a 2-way switch. Middle is ON and up is OFF. I get the boards into the desired position then flip the switch up. Now they stay there until I return the switch to the center position. Works perfectly, for me anyways!
