I made my reservation August 2020, so after placing my order for 2021 with the dealer in NJ in March, the 3rd time I went to the dealer to finally see their mannequin model Big Bend I was told the owner wouldn't let my Bronco off the lot unless I paid $10k over MSRP. Was not told this upfront. They said I was lucky they weren't charging $15k or $20k over MSRP like other dealers. I was beyond upset as with sales tax, etc this would take my Bronco's price from $47k to $62k.
I put in a dealer switch request in October of 2021, I would now be able to put in a new order for a 2022 and Ford said it was possible to switch dealers charging over MSRP. After calling the Bronco marketing dept for 2 months, I was then told they changed the process and had to put in a new request and get a new case #. Still no movement. I am now on my 3rd request and case # and it's March 2022.
Anyone have any issues with this or any luck getting a dealer switch approved? I feel like I'm never getting a Bronco.
