Anyone use Boom Mats on dash speakers?

Need some advice on whether to use foam baffles on B&O replacement dash speakers (Focal ACX 100s). Do they make any difference in sound quality?

side question: What made you choose the focal’s over other similarly priced speakers and do you think the upgrade was worth doing?

I used boom mats on the focal flax components that I use on the front. I eliminated the 4” speakers in the dash and mounted the focal tweeters there. Then the mid bass in the kick panels with boom mats. Any upgraded speakers sound better than the. Factory speakers.

I used them, really wasn't sure what I was doing at the time. Did it help? Yeah I think it did. I didn't use them anywhere else but the dash.

My Bronco replacement speakers haven’t been delivered yet, but I’ve installed Focals in other vehicles and really like them - crisp clear sound which is great, especially for someone with hearing loss. Based on all the reviews I’ve read, I have no doubt the upgrade will be well worth it!
