4/2/2025 Update: We've confirmed that the new Brushless Twin Air Compressor IS compatible with our existing KR Off-Road Mounting Brackets

The new ARB Brushless Air Compressors are now available for pre-order from us! Today was the "Embargo Date" so we can finally reveal some information about them.

To start with, the portable kits are not available yet. Information on those WILL be coming soon.
Second, we have an order in with ARB and as soon as our inventory lands we'll be verifying fitment with our engine mounted compressor brackets.

However if you'd like to pre-order your Brushless air compressor you can do so on our site

Pretty cool albeit pricey. Maybe I’ll get one to test heat and times vs my old one.

Is the mounting configuration the same as the other twin? I have your under-hood bracket. Could I reuse it for the brushless version if I upgrade?

What about wiring? Can I simply remove the old compressor and drop this one in place and use the same wiring?

We don't know 100% yet. We BELIEVE it should be, otherwise ARB can't use ANY of their existing mounting systems out there. We'll know once our compressors arrive to us.

Appreciate the quick response. I reached out to ARB support for clarification. Not willing to drop $900 on a preorder if I have to get a new mounting solution as well.

Here’s the response from ARB:

“Hello, you will need to rewire the brushless I am afraid. The connectors are a bit different, and the new compressor has some additional safety features built into it so there are some additional wires in the harness on the brushless vs the older brushed models. The mounting footprint is a bit different on the new ones as well, essentially you can absolutely use your existing bracket, but the feet on the new compressor are positioned a bit closer together as the compressor is a bit smaller than our old, so you would end up having to drill two new holes for one pair of the mounting feet, whether that be the front or rear pair of feet, but they will not quite line up to the existing holes in the bracket for the brushed models”

They may or may not work with our brackets. We have additional holes on our brackets (depending on when you ordered it from us that is).

It does use a new harness but that harness comes with the brushless.

Don't put the cart before the horse. Let us get a compressor in and test fit it to determine if it will/will not fit. Even if it does not fit we'll have an adapter plate available to adapt the new compressor's mounts to our existing brackets.

Will Wait on Testing Videos. Been wanting to get one but Price point vs Time. Can get one for $250 and be faster than this $900.

I’ll try to get one done if I can get my hands on one. I have the regular single compressor from them and have access to thermal imaging and have a good baseline from a bunch of previous testing I did.

But yea, if the regular one works fine what’s the point of brushless? It advertises better cooling but my engine mounted single has yet to overheat or cause issues after 3 years and over 500 uses.
I’m not convinced it’s a worthwhile purchase but I’m also interested in seeing for myself.

Not quite. Also... the current ARB Twin Compressor is $640 and airs up a 35" tire from 15PSI to 35PSI in 60 seconds.

These types of compressors are not even remotely the same as the ARB Onboard Air Compressors. Those are portable air compressors. This is an onboard air compressor. Different animal.

That's like comparing The engine on a Viper to the Engine in your F150. Both are engines right, but one is DIFFERENT then the other.

All are used to air up tires off-road and are considerations for someone looking to make a purchase. All have pros and cons. And the ARB single and dual are in this video. I’m a huge fan of ARB and run their single

Again, completely different animals. Brushless is a different animal all together.

Anyone know what snorkel ARB is showing installed on the Bronco on the page for the brushless compressor? I haven't done a ton of research into this recently, but last I checked it wasn't possible (or at least it wasn't easily possible) to install a compressor and a snorkel.
