Are the brakes the same through all packages? I can't imagine that a Bronco with the 37s would have the same stopping power as a Bronco with 30s. Are there brake upgrades that anyone has done?

The electric assist seems to be pretty sensitive to volume changes, making larger calipers troublesome. When we eliminated a whole bunch of the factory lines by making our own and decreasing requisite volume to apply the brakes, it almost seemed like even that caused the computer to be slightly upset at first.I'm not sure about the 25/26 models, but I believe the 21-24's (non-Braptor) had brake systems based on their engine displacement. The 2.3L had hydraulic brakes and the 2.7L had electric assist brakes. Whether the brake pads were different, I don't know. I have seen people say the brakes should be upgraded when going up to 37's, for instance, which is probably a good idea but at least early on was a little tricky based on the what I saw with some of the builds.
I wanted to say there was something about them not fitting too, but that's fuzzy. It's been a couple years since I saw those threads. That upfitter out of Houston seemed to have issues getting bigger ones to work, the one that made the racer-looking Broncos. The electric assist seems to be pretty sensitive to volume changes, making larger calipers troublesome. Or I just didn’t bleed the system thoroughly…

Yep. As far as pads, rotors and calipers; Raptors are different for obvious reasons. Everything else is the same. With the exception of Raptor, all other trims have the same brakes AFAIK. There's a few upgrade threads, try a search.
The 2.3L with vacuum assist doesn’t seem to have an issue with caliper changes, just the 2.7 with electric assist. Makes me wonder how much volume we cut out with our changes and if it would be enough to make up the difference for the bigger calipers that are working on the 2.3. It would be a tiny amount, but the system is sensitive enough to detect aur bubble…so…I wanted to say there was something about them not fitting too, but that's fuzzy. 2.3 is superior. Hence the new mini raptor wide track trim being equipped with it.2.3L FTW!!![]()

Are you talking about the "4600 Raptor" 2drs?2.3 is superior. Hence the new mini raptor wide track trim being equipped with it.
Is that what the new RTR trim package is being called? Are you talking about the "4600 Raptor" 2drs?
Nah, that's what Ford is wanting to call all the 2dr Broncos winning off road races now. There was a press release and everything I think right after KOH. Basically, it was a sticker; it's why BigMeats put Raptor on his Bronco. Is that what the new RTR trim package is being called?![]()
Was that even with brake maintenance mode enabled? The electric assist seems to be pretty sensitive to volume changes, making larger calipers troublesome.
