So given the fact that the front rack is weaker for the rough stuff till upgraded, does the community think it is worth it to get the rock monsters at over double the price to be bead locked on the inner and outer of the tire?

I have Rock Monsters on my Jeep. They're /heavy/ wheels. Setting aside the strength of the wheels themselves, there's a lot of extra metal in all of the bolts involved. I'm not planning on getting a set for the Bronco because of the weight and I think they're way overkill unless you're going well into the single-digits of air pressure.

On the plus side, you can mount your own tires without needing a machine.

I have the FP beadlock rings on squatch wheels and ran them in single digits last fall on a wheeling trip. Worked just fine! Dual beadlocks is just a pricey gimmick IMO

I understand what you all are saying. I went back and forth on the decision, and in the end bought them based on how many I've seen knocked off the inner bead off highway. Not so many that the price wasn't a struggle to justify...however in the end I Wentworth it.

I also run Rebound Pros. I have run them at 9 psi several times and the wheels and tires handle it fine. The steering assist motor doesnā€™t. Anytime you really work the steering at pressures that low, my steering assist motor overheats and locks up or goes into manual steer mode. Always at the worst times of course. Iā€™ve found 11-12 lbs is as low as I can run without problems from the SAM. I run in some really tight stuff with lots of turning though. Nothing is wide open here.

Just an update, last trip I had to drag the bronco sideways with the winch on a obstacle...rock monsters held deflated tires on while doing this.

šŸ‘ my badlands still isnā€™t in yet but my decision was made from your build post. Putting rock monsters on with the stock 33ā€™s initially until I figure out what I want to do suspension wise. Didnā€™t go Sasquatch for that very reason.
Iā€˜ll run the 33ā€™s on the rock monsters and bilsteins for a while to get use to it and just see.
my thoughts. Thanks for you build post.
