I find it silly that some 6G owners gripe about such insignificant things.
It’s all about choice, and setting up the coolest toy many of us have ever owned before. These Broncos are like real-life Tonka toys that we grew up with. Stompers, and RC cars… plus, they’re just so damn cool looking that every little thing we do to them makes them even better!

ASS doesn’t bother me, it’s easy enough to turn off, and cheap enough to defeat via aftermarket. But it’s the principle of the matter. I’m tired of being told what to do. I don’t need the seat belt chime going off until I put it on. I don’t need my car to scare the crap out of me when I step out to pick up the mail before heading up my driveway, and I don’t want to strain my starter motor at every 2.1 second stop light by default.

My wife’s car is one of these 48v hybrid engines (Mercedes 3.0t i6). Hell of an engine, nearly invisible start/stop functionality…except when it’s a 1.5 second stop. It send the worst sound and rumble throughout the car in those situations, like only 2 cylinders came back on. No way that isn’t causing some damage in there somewhere. MB says it’s normal, but the service techs all say the same thing….”turn off the ass”.

The older / wiser I get, the more resistant to Big Brother I become. Don’t even get me started on AI and data centers. I live in the heart of data center alley, and have financed many of them in my career. All I’m going to say, is it’s not a tinfoil hat conclusion that everything you do and say, is being documented in some file for you in a data center. I’ve personally seen many data centers with non-descriptive Chevy’s parked outside with US Gov license plates. Now why do you think they’re there? I know I sound like a dooms dayer, conspiracy theorist. But it’s true. I’ve seen this with my own eyes. It’s also why the cell phone carriers are pushing free iPhones with their AI technology. They are desperate for the public to have them.

I totally get that. I was referring to the pinch welds that are on basically every car today. Just seems that only some 6G owners complain about them.

I don't mind the idle stop actually. I was skeptical, due to having more experience with Honda's Idle stop, which is incredibly slow. But it's hardly noticeable in my Badlands. As soon as the clutch is in, engine fires off faster than I can shift into gear.

I wouldn't get too excited. The next administration could just put it back in place so wouldn't go extreme and eliminate the option from your vehicle just yet.

The problem with the headlights is that with the electroluminescent and digital dash’s, clueless drivers forget to turn on their headlights when it gets dark and are driving around with DRL’s at night.
I see this ALL the time. I usually give them a couple flicks of the brights, followed by my lights being shut off and turned back on. Then I give up on them. About 50% of the time they realize they forgot to turn their lights on. The rest flip me off out their window. Which, whatever, they wanna get rear-ended so be it.

How bout them pinch welds?
What about them? Every vehicle has them. Do what you want with them, but there's no reason to complain about them.

Yeah....my coffee may have been a little too strong that morning...

But I'm serious about the data centers. I think they're just community listening devices now. How much friggin' data does it take to "google" the weather?

China totally operates on the Social Credit Score system. Perfect citizen, jaywalks one time, and boom, you're being hauled into HR due to your score not being in compliance with your job description. Shit is soooo wrong!!

Hence the gov’t recent push into AI and datacenters, integration of Musk’s GROK at Dept of War, and Musk’s shift from electric cars into AI and robots? Data is power.

I'll do one better. This is 100% true. Amazon HQ2 - remember that feeding frenzy for trying to win it by several states? I knew exactly where it was going to go from the very start. I've financed several properties in that area, including some currently. Its location here in DC is known as a black cable site, meaning a dedicated 100% secure wired access into the Pentagon, can't be hacked. Why I knew it? Amazon had set up the CIA with a whole new cloud system that they loved, and the DoD wanted the same. So, they issued the largest bid request to revamp their system to the big tech firms, yet wrote the bid to read as though already meant for Amazon. A $10b contract. It is absolutely no coincidence that within the same week that Amazon announced where the new HQ2 was going to be located, the DoD announced who the winner was for the contract. The contract was called JEDI (you can google it via "JEDI Contract" to read all about it). BUT....Jeff Bezos also was the owner of the Washington Post, who was trashing Trump in the newspaper. In the 11th hour of the protest from the other vendors, Trump injected himself to give the contract to Microsoft instead. Today, only ½ of HQ2 has been built, while Amazon is perhaps one of the largest data center owners / tenants in the country and growing at an alarming rate... Put all of those pieces together, and you can see why I am like I am about data centers..

Well OK. I liked this forum because in general it was non-political and stayed on-topic. This thread and the conspiracy theories it has sprouted has help me decide to move on.

Enjoy yourself, and hopefully get back to what we all enjoy - Broncos.

It would be rather boring without some sideways discussions, anything but another shackle color combo review.
