Hi Everyone!

I have a stock 7 speaker system in my Bronco but have noticed a difference in sound depth / richness from when I first start it, go somewhere and turn it off. When I start it the second time the depth is different with the bass more pronounced. I am wondering if there is a setting I can change. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hmm..

You aren't by chance using different audio sources? I know streaming from your phone it can make a noticeable difference if you are plugged in via USB or trying to do so via Bluetooth.

Again, if you play via your phone from Bluetooth through Sync or through CarPlay also makes a difference.

And that's before you get into the differences in various streaming formats and file types.

Also a remote chance that Speed Compensation is doing something here - which is a setting in the Sync controls. Or Engine Sound Enhancement, which I don't know if it has a setting in Sync, but can be adjusted with Forscan.

By and large there really isn't any difference in a cold start and warm start from the Audio system from the Bronco, provided it's all working correctly.

Thanks for taking the time to respond Brian. It is the strangest thing as I can play the same song using AirPlay, and it will sound different when I start the vehicle a second time. I am going to try and use a USB cable and see if it makes a difference. Thanks again and happy trails.

I have a streaming app with different sound effects between full-screen displays or floating windows.

I prefer the full-screen version :)

So I am taking a shot in the dark, since I am not sure of your settings. Possibly you have your app-music set to a lower quality. This is possibly a reason the quality is different. When you start back up, so does the streaming (I imagine). If you can, make a playlist and download the songs as lossless audio (the setting in app - music - quality) and see if that makes a difference (playing from your downloads vs streaming).

I figured out what causes the difference. If your iPhone is connected to your AirPods first, then switches over to your Bronco once you get in, there is a noticeable difference in the sound. I use Spotify and have all the music downloaded to my phone. The bass is deeper, the highs are richer, and the mids complete the sound. I’m not sure what causes this, but it’s noticeable.
