Interesting. I had to ForScan mine to do that. It's not a defect, it's a feature. Haha! Have you cycled through the goat modes to try to reset it?
Now I don’t want to lol

Experimented a little more today and it was the automatic temp control. I had it set to 69 degrees and it was 65 out so I didn’t even think to try that. As soon as I turned off the HVAC the ASS stopped the engine.

Did you find the screen that explains why the ASS didn't activate? I found it in one of the menus a while back but can't remember where.

No, I could never find a screen. Someone posted on here that bronco doesn’t have it but f-150 does.

There is a screen in the bronco badlands, I will see if I can find it and post here if/when I do.

Looks like the OP solved it.

ASS should not engage if:
Battery is low,
Heater/defrost is on
A/C is on.
You turn it off manually.
You are in Sport mode.

On our F-150 it engages even with the A/C on max (which it is not supposed to do). It's how you can tell the stupid thing came on, your A/C dies, which sucks when it's 116 degrees out.

Also, I assume the OP has an Automatic. On the Stick, A/SS is only supposed to come on if you have the car in neutral.
