Although this is very cool, it seems to be a solution looking for a problem.
The prinary motivation for such an option is protecting my mirrors from other vehicles when parking. Due to the height of our rigs, as well as their width at lower heights, almost all door dings will happen to the other party, hitting our steps/sliders. The mirrors are under threat in such rare, if any, parking scenarios. Sure being bumped by a person - definitely possible but that isn't going to do any damage.
Retraction on narrow trails, absolutely, cool and useful, but not often enough for me to warrant the extra complexity, loss of strength and potential reliability issues.
Lastly, I don't think any Bronco trims need mirror tilt down to protects rims from curb rash...
