I replaced the front 3 speakers with Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 402 Mk II, the kick panel speakers with Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 602 Mk II, and the rear pod speakers with Morel Maximo Coax 4 speakers. I could not tell the difference between the Morel Maximo Coax 4 and the Maximo Ultra Coax 402 Mk II - however, Crutchfield was out of the Coax 4, so I went up to the Ultra Coax 402 Mk II for the front speakers.

Overall, it sounds pretty good and much better than it did with the factory speakers. The kick panel speakers were well worth upgrading.
When you say factory, do you mean b&o

Everyone bitches about the sound system in the bronco, I just got mine yesterday and it’s not B&O and I don’t think it’s total shit by any stretch. Yes there is no mud or bass for that matter but it’s not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. With that being said, 2 weeks from now I am completely upgrading the sound system since I already have all the stuff from waiting.

I thought the same thing. It’s more than usable stock. Don’t think the bronco target market was boomin system. I enjoyed upgrading and my installing my new stuff. Rather be upgrading electronics than axles.

Yes, the factory B&O speakers are anything but premium. My stock 2011 F-150 XL with the most basic AM/FM radio had better speakers than the B&O system in the Bronco. They are horrible and don't sound even remotely "premium".

How to compare, sit in a vehicle with a decent factory sound system (I used a 2021 Honda CR-V EX-L as a low end comparison - stock without modification) and compared it to the B&O in my Bronco side by side with the same music. It was embarrassing how much better the basic Honda system sounded vs the B&O system in the Bronco.

After the speaker upgrade, it was no longer an embarrassing comparison for the Bronco. The Bronco still lacks compared to a truly premium or custom installation, but it's at least competent and has much better fidelity.

Eh, I have the B&O, is it a super premium sound system? No. Does it sound pretty good in a pretty noisy car? Yes.

However it shouldn't be getting completely smoked by the standard Honda CR-V EX-L sound system (which still has a lot more power than the B&O in the Bronco).

At least with the new speakers, it doesn't sound like you are listening to the radio through two tin cups connected by a string.

Seriously, the B&O is marketed and sold as a premium sound system. It is anything but premium. Is it acceptable for a base system.

Sure, it would be acceptable for a base system. It makes me wonder how truly bad the base system sounds.

Agreed! How on earth it doesn’t sound better than my 14 explorer which has a basic system. Also, 10 speakers and this is the best they could do? They had all the runway in the world to put any kind, size and configuration… and this is what they came up with.
Do you know if all the clips for the speakers are the same or are they different? I see Amazon has adaptor clips so I don’t have to soder…

These are cheap marketing gimmicks and lazy money grabs by audio companies who no longer care about their reputations. I had a 10-speaker Beats system in my Durango that was garbage. Not that Beats is a high-end audio name, but the system certainly wasn’t personally tuned by Dr. Dre like they made it sound in the marketing materials. Factory stereo systems in non-luxury-brand mass-market automobiles are crap no matter whose brand name is stuck on the speaker grilles. Save your money and buy your own speaker upgrades. Only downside is you often don’t get the same interior trim/components to accommodate the extra speakers you get with a factory upgrade.

Actual B&O engineers would never roll in their own Bronco with the factory B&O audio system.

I thought it sounded fine, but at 3500 miles my sub is now completely blown. Never even been to full volume

Utter trash.

my memory (which could be flawed) suggests that they were all the same as the kick panel speakers.

Metra 72-5602 Speaker Wiring Harness works for the kick panel (and I believe all of the speakers).

FWIW, I didn't solder, I just crimped the connectors on all of the 4" speakers.
