I have some of the last gen Squadron SAE fogs on my Bronco today. I was going to do the upgrade program, but was wondering if changing the lenses allows me to use them in any other capacity? I'm specifically thinking about just buying the new SAEs and repurposing these for an aftermarket rear bumper. I couldn't find the specs on the old lights so thought I'd ask here and see if anyone knows. Thanks!

Kinda sorta yeah. So you'd need to change the lens AND reflectors. The older style SAE lenses were based off the Squadron Sport board. I'm told there ARE some differences between the Sport board and the SAE board (but if you look at the board it says SPORT on it).

Squadron lights have a 2 part system for the output. A reflector and a lens. The reflectors USED to be different years ago (spot, combo and wide cornering used one style reflector while work/scene used another style).

However since they re-designed their work/scene lens, they did away with the different reflectors.

However the SAE DO use a different type of reflector/lens setup along with a metal component to help the beam.

So basically what i'm getting at is yes, you could turn those SAE into another style light and you'd probably never notice the difference. Then you could buy a new set of SAE and you've got 2 sets of lights.

We stock the Squadron SAE here so if you want a set, grab them from us: https://www.4x4truckleds.com/led-auxiliary-lights/baja-designs/squadron-sae/

To "Convert" your old SAE lights into something you could use elsewhere you want to buy 4 of these:

You'll also want new lenses: https://www.4x4truckleds.com/led-au...igns/lighting-accessories/replacement-lenses/

You'll want 2 lenses.

Thanks for following up! I'll keep that in mind as I move forward. Y'all are my first stop for lighting, so any updates would almost certainly be ordered through you!
