I am sure I have been called way worse at some point, but I was referring to the owner of BAMF. I had issues with install and instead of just addressing them he basically tried to put it all back on me. FYI no install instructions or link to any are included. Yes thats the way it comes, if you can't figure it out, its because you are stupid. Basically thats his attitude.

That sucks! I have the BAMF reinforcement plate and the Overland front bumper. I’ll agree with the no instructions but had no issues talking with Jerry about it. Did I read before that you redrilled holes or something?
Cool of you to be giving it away!

Installed the tailgate support from Bay Area Metal Fabrication the other day. I surveyed every available tailgate support while at SEMA back in November, and in terms of build quality, finish quality, and versatility, the BAMF beats them all, IMHO. I don't yet have larger wheels and tires on my bronco, but I wanted to upgrade for that eventuality, and to also have the easy ability to mount accessories like my Hi-Lift jack. The flanges on the tailgate support have a set of three convenient mounting holes top and bottom, so I just welded a couple of mounting tabs onto a Warn 90030 jack mount that I had kicking around my shop.... The other nice thing is that even at maximum opening of the tailgate, the jack doesn't even come close to contacting the taillight. Unfortunate that OP had issues. Hard to believe that something so incredibly simple would need installation instructions. BAMF is a very small company, so I really don't and wouldn't expect a lot of hand-holding and campfire songs, but they are good people and they make a solid product.

I'm not far from you and BAMF really isn't that far from here.

Have you thought about just driving down? I actually picked up my overland bumper from their factory, didn't get to meet Jerry but the other employees where great.

I agree, the complete lack of instructions on pretty much all their stuff kind of sucks. I had an issue with transferring over my sensor grommets because I had to grind stuff off, only to come to find out I was normal (but without instructions who knew)

Also sounds like some other people have installed this, so maybe they can answer your questions.

But if you're seriously just giving it away, I take it :)

Watch out for a windy day the tailgate opens a lot farther than that. It’s surprised me a few times.

Oh, I forgot about this. Its long gone. Good riddance.

Understand what you are saying, but with this installed, The edge of the tailgate support near the hinge becomes the new hinge travel stop, so the gate can no longer open as far as the stock configuration, and this is what prevents accessories (like my jack) from contacting the tail light.

I did’t know this my hammer built does not have this feature. Cool.
