Bilstein 5100s: 2.2" front / 1.5" rear rake feedback

Hey everyone,

Planning out a suspension and tire setup on my stock 2025 Big Bend and wanted to get some input on stance.

I hear that the stock non sas broncos have a rake but not sure how much the rake is in the rear. I hear 1-1.5” but not sure and could use some feedback there.

I'm looking at Bilstein 5100s set at 2.2 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the rear, running new 35x12.50 Falken Wildpeaks on stock Sasquatch wheels I’m getting off of marketplace.

Does the 2.2" front / 1.5" rear split leave a decent, subtle rake, or does it sit dead level? I’m thinking of keeping a light rake so I can haul some light to moderate camping gear and not sag.

For those of you who load up the back with camping gear and weight, does this height keep it from sagging into a nose-high squat, or would a slightly different front/rear setting be better for a camping setup?

Appreciate any thoughts or photos if you're running a similar setup!

You will have to measure your individual Bronco. My 2dr had little rake. I did 1.5 (front) and 1.7 (rear) with my 5100s I have a slight rake and like it. I'm a believer in 2" or less to minimize problems (CVs, alignment etc) so my vote would be 2" and 1.7 for yours.

Yeah, it varies - based heavily on your starting weight and what springs you are running on the coil overs. Shocks don't have a lot to do with it, other than they often come with collars that can adjust the spring pre-load.

Agree with keeping it at or under 2", going beyond that you will start to run into more mods needed.

If you are running the stock Hitachi springs, you may want around 1-1.5" of rake total, unloaded, with a full gas tank. You may be able to adjust that depending on your loadout, but that's about where I would start.

I also agree with wanting to keep a slight rake for all the reasons you are thinking. If you do end up rear-heavy for whatever reason, the steering really gets floaty, and your lights start to blind everyone.
