I am in search of a solid Bimini or Bikini top for my to be built Bronco (9/14) that is not mesh. I had a TJ many moons ago and had bot the mesh and non-mesh tops. The non-mesh top was great for unexpected rain storms. I have searched and I can only seem to find many different manufacturers of just mesh tops. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this one from Ford:

https://accessories.ford.com/products/bimini-top-soft-canvas-for-4-door

Still new in the box. They want $339, I would do $275 shipped on your dime if you're interested.

see if jtop will make you a solid one. I ordered one from them just for the template. Having a sunbrella one made. They have a excellent design.

I wanted a Non-mesh top so I went with the Ford Bimini (made by Bestop). Non Mesh thinking it will keep out any light rains. Well the front section where it attaches to the windshield really sucks. It flaps open when driving and creates a 1" gap. It also puts a strain on the little fasteners and I just look up wondering when they are going to start to tear. I know there are not a lot of options but I have had this top on for only 2 days and wishing I would have went with something else or waited. I have already thought of how I am going to modify the front section to alleviate the gap and flap.

IMO, that is the best choice. I had on for my '78 Bronco. I've been looking n waiting for a version like that. If I can find one I'm going to have a top made to cover the bars and open on the sides and back.

Good luck in your search... please post if you find in an I'll do the same.

I just spoke with JTop. They have been trying to figure out a rain proof top for years. They claim to have “ballooning” issues at highway speeds but their R&D team is still looking the possibility. The woman I spoke with said to look at the OEM one linked above as it appears to be the only one similar to what I am looking for.

I have the solid canvas from ford. I agree with KDTX. It is designed w a 2” gap between the windshield and top. I bought it for rain. What’s the point? Overly complicated as well. Saw an old cj5 Bimini that was simple and all you need. Don’t get why they can’t design something like that.
