We currebntly are only offering the stripes and kits in wrap vinyl and digital print media w/ lamination. Neither are designed to be protection from rocks, chips or scratches. Of course they will offer some level of resistance, but if your wanting serious protection, definately go with PPF.
Hope this helps, although I know it's not the answer you were wanting.

...there is a thicker laminate, what we use for motorcross applications, but cutting to shape is a killer for our blades and installation could be quite difficult.
I apologize for my poor choice of words. Layer/wall thickness isn't what I meant. I should have specified and said, can the vinyl design be printed or cut to cover a greater surface area. So for example if the vinyl is 6" x 104" right now, could the pattern be expanded so the vinyl would be 18" x 104"?
See how wide these stripes were in the classic truck models?

ahhh, ...yes, that makes much more sense. We can cut/print up to 58" x whateever length. Is this what you're wanting to mimic? Shoot me an email with your specs and I can start work on a quick render and estimate. [email protected]

I would also be interested in something similar to the old Sundown Bronco:

did you decide if you could go larger with the stripes. I love the look but would like something to take up more of the side.
We can do whatever size you want. Can you email me an example of the area you'd like to fill?

Does anyone have any photos of the 3 or 5 bar red retro strips on carbonized gray?

*Edit - also, how permanent are these? Can I take it off down the road with now issues or once on is it on for life? Just curious.

Easily removable. However it does depend on how much wear and sun the stripes get. Feel free to call me to further discuss!
Greg 😉
