Bronco and I spent a few nights in the cold Oregon desert to search for some history. Thought I'd share the adventure. Enjoy!
That was definitely a weird hole.

Will you keep exploring once the snow comes?

1 minute into your video and you're cooking a meal that isn't Mountain House.

Did someone kidnap the real @B Miller ?! I'm so lost on this plot twist. Can't wait to watch the rest of the video!

Now how did I know I'd find you on a post about a weird hole?

LOL! Now and then I'll cook a little something. But I'm a terrible camp cook and Mountain House is so fast and easy. I just got a Blackstone griddle that I used on my last trip. Have a video on that next week. So far, I like the Mountain House best.

We live on roads like that. Ours is a several mile drive to reach pavement but it is all fenced and most the fields are crop land. It is so easy to get stuck. A 4x4 just lets you get stuck farther from help. You have a great place to explore.
thanks for posting.

Oh you're gonna love the BS. We have a 36" beside the grill out behind the house and carry a 17" one on adventures. Super easy and quick meals on that thing. Beats cold beef jerky or a Pop Tart any day after a day of exploring.

I enjoyed cooking on the Blackstone for sure. I keep the little 17" on the patio in the back yard. And all the accessories....... it's like building a 4x4!

Not so sure that was a still site. Stills require a lot of water to make a run. Not seeing any signs of water past or present there.

Most of the still sites are right along the rimrock in Central Oregon. There were barrel bands everywhere and no homestead. It's tough to tell from the video, but a bit farther down from the site, there's a dried up creek bed. Probably had water 100 years ago before the desert dried up again.

On the other hand, could be anything I guess ;)

Another very well known off road YouTube channel recently discussed native paintings as petroglyphs, which are pictures chipped or carved into the rock versus paintings, which you correctly identified as pictographs. People say I’m pedantic. I’m not sure what they’re talking about.
