Denver is usually top 3 for hail per year (use to own a roofing biz LOL) and then eastern CO is typically active spring time for tornados and great lightning shows.

You think that's crazy we actually had a tornado here in Washington state an F1 or 2 a couple of years ago , where we never have gotten tornadoes before ,at least in the 58 years that I've lived here. uh yeah. I love extreme weather and would love to see a big wedge tornado up close. One day I will find a chaser that does a ride along. I want to be like reed timmer close but with less obnoxious yelling.

The mountains set them up nicely to roll right over Denver and continue to build big out east on the plains!Oh...And I don't want to necessarily shoot tornados....More interested in those big "mothership" supercells and lightning shows.
