Any reason to upgrade fluid, or just stick with Motorcraft? I was planning at 20k which I’m rounding in the next month or so.

Amsoil for me. Mostly because I live in a cold climate and because the slight cost increase is negligible over the change interval.

hey, no worries! It’s just chilling up there. Wasn’t too worried about it being damaged but I was a little surprised ARB didn’t include a means to secure it.

I have seen the same chart with all the other fluids too. I think I'd preference published material over one guy in a service dept, but maybe not. Also I wonder if there is a huge difference between 75W85 and 80W90? I can't be huge I would think. Now I don't know what difference the Hypoid stuff would make. I am not familiar with what that is and I don't think i've heard of it before.Hey, In the ARB instructions they have u mark the dipstick based on the OEM cover. You then have to fill up the rear diff until the oil hits the level you marked on the dipstick.
I bought 3 bottles for the front and rear to ensure I had enough
I included a screen shot of what helped me figure out what oil to use.

Good info! I did a motor oil/filter change and a front diff change with no issues. Then the rear diff, Dana M220, I had a ARB cover to install. Looked and looked for a replaceable gasket and there were none. I bought good ol' Permatex Gear Oil Gasket Maker and went to work. After buzzing off the 12 bolts I got a small screw driver to pry off the cover. And WOW!!! Ford/Dana had a reusable gasket! This is great, even though the Amsoil 75W-90 only needs changing every 50000K miles, this was less messy and easy for the next change. I drive the Southwestern Dez very often. Heat often no worries now and the next change will be easy! Thanks Ford/Dana and Amsoil!
