I’m definitely curious to see how fast the Braptor is. It’s a heavy boy, so I’m thinking maybe low 6’s or high 5’s 0-60. 2022 Gen 3 raptors (37) with 450 HP and less weight hit mid 5’s.

Ford Explorer ST has 0-60 of 5.2 seconds. I have personally driven one before and was extremely impressed with the acceleration. What was even more surprising was the quick shifting of the 10-Speed automatic in manual mode (This was a 2020 Explorer).

Ford has come a long way with the 10-speed to the point where the shifts felt similar to that of a Volkswagen DCT I had previously driven. A couple years back, I drove a 2.7 F-150 in manual mode and its shifting was much less responsive. Ford obviously tunes the performance vehicles differently.

Hopefully the Warthog will have the same energy as the Explorer ST, but keep in mind it weights around 1,000 lbs more. The First Edition 4-Door goes 0-60 in about 8 seconds and weights 505 lbs less than Warthog.

Based on this, I am going to predict the Warthog will have a tested 0-60 of 6.5 seconds.

Still nothing compared to a V8 and tuned exhaust.
Years ago I had a Japanese neighbor that worked for Nissan. He had an early 70's vetted that he would drive only in the neighborhood and somtime sit in the driveway idling. One day I asked him why the vette when he could have a Z or any other Nissan. His response....no 4 or 6 cylinder can ever feel like this when your in it.
Yeah...jeep wins on the V8. Not to say the Raptor won't be kick ass to drive!

Raptor is cool if you plan on leaving it stock. Otherwise my Bronco will end up with much more street presence than the Raptor plus better suspension.

Why do people comment on Raptor posts with the ‘no thanks, I’ll keep my Bronco’ replies? It’s just as bad as the Bronco Sport guys were doing about the Bronco back when they were hanging out here

To make themselves feel better. I would bet, most of the same ppl saying “no thanks” would raised their hands the same if given the choice, like so many outstanding orders did, myself included.
