Agreed, but there is a cancel or decel button on the steering wheel that can do the same thing.

Yeah, but every single Ford vehicle I have owned for the past 25 years worked the same way, tap the clutch and it kills the cruise. I can certainly tap the clutch a lot faster than I can hit the cancel button.
