As some may know, we bought our Bronco last month as a used rig. The wife really likes the Bronco script vs the Outerbanks diamond that is on the front fenders. But here is my issue.

Previous owner had PPF applied, but when I lift the edge of the OB diamond, I can clearly see they applied the PPF around the OB diamond. So now if I remove the OB diamond to install the Bronco script, there will be a triangle of missing PPF.

The way I see it, my wife has a few options.

1. Remove the OB diamond and put script on and live with the PPF missing from that area.

2. Remove OB diamond and have a shop try to cut a piece of PPF to fill in where the OB diamond was and then script on top of that. But will see joining lines in PPF.

3. Leave the OB diamond and see if the script works either above, below or to side of the OB diamond.

4. Remove the PPF and OB diamond, install new PPF and script on top of the PPF. (Most expensive route I am not paying that kind of money just to have the script added).

5. Do nothing and learn to live with it as is.

Anyone have any recommendations for a possible solution?

#5. All the scripts looks crooked anyway.

This. Women are never consistently happy. I have an amazing wife and an amazing life, but she's just as unpredictable and inconsistent as any other female I've ever encountered.

Chris Rock once said "You can fuck a woman with a diamond dick and make her c*m ten times, and
she'll still complain. Why'd you make me c*m so hard? This diamond d*ck is cloudy. Why didn't you go to Tiffany's? You're so f*cking cheap."
You are DEFINITELY "my kind of guy"!!!

Went to a PPF shop that used same film as previous owner to get an estimate on PPF for the parts the OG did not have done, and I can say as of right now there is no way removing PPF and decal, then installing new PPF and script is even an option. Rear quarter panels were 400 a piece! Imagine front fender would easily exceed 1K total for $50 scripts....... Nope, she can get use to the OB diamond. Besides, diamonds are a girls best friend.

Thanks all for the replies

While I don't have the PPF issue, I am looking to relocate the badlands sasquatch badge near the bottom of the quarter panel to make room for the script. Do you know if it is an option to use the same decal once it has been removed? New ones are ridiculously expensive at over $50 each. Or is it as simple as applying new adhesive to the decal?
You can reapply it. I moved mine to the tailgate when I got my scripts.

Leave it as-is. I have an OBX as well, and several of the scripts. After seeing so many of them on others, I decided to wait and see how I felt about it. I’m glad I left it factory. Everyone knows it’s a Bronco.

It's only money man. The green pieces of paper that "authority" tells us that are worth something (less and less so as I type this). You don't plan to take it with you, are you?

Understand we cannot take it with us, but I would rather spend $1k+ on a vacation somewhere than REDOING PPF just so I can install $100 scripts or some other mods.

Honestly, just give it some time and focus on the laundry list of other little tweaks you can do to your Bronco instead. Like mudflats, interior pieces, lights, etc. Leave the body alone for awhile. The answer will come to you if you really feel like you want to mess with the PPF. That said, if you do decide to mess with it, I would recommend the front hood deflector piece as well. It seems to be known to save a windshield or two. Many of us have the Ford "aeroskin" version and quite happy with it. But it too sticks to the car via 3m strips.

Again, just personal opinion here, but my vote is to leave the OBX sticker where it is. I like all of the model stickers across the range and think they're cool and unique to the car itself. The script can be put on any of them in general. Plus, who doesn't love the Outer Banks of NC in general? You have an ocean wave on the side of your beach buggy! That's pretty slick! I thought I wanted the spear sticker along the side crease of mine, bought one but once I got it and had to wait a few weeks before I could get to installing it, I decided that I really didn't want it. Was the same with the script too.

Here is another option for you to consider.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1857680193/bronco-outer-banks-sasquatch-badge?ref=shop_review

I purchased a Bronco Badlands badge from this Etsy shop and it is identical the the OEM Bronco Badlands badging except that it is metal and much higher quality than the original vinyl OEM badging.

Just contact the Etsy shop owner if you are interested and he will be able to tell you when they will be available again.
