Hold your pitchforks for one second.

So I saw this goofy piece of concept art and it got me thinking.

It's silly it's dumb, and....
The 2 door Bronco hatchback(in 2 wheel drive) is strangely more of a Mustang then the Mach E.
Drop it 4 inches, put some road tires on it(and 20s) and it will at least drive like Mustang.
Stick it in automatic 4wd and it will the world's fugliest hot hatch.
The best part? Lock the rear diff in two wheel drive(if that is even possible) and you get a driftstang
So bad it's good. And all the other Bronco owners will be mad at you for massacring Ford's "iconic" design.
Somebody is going to try this. I guarantee it.

That's tame compared to some of the stuff we will see in the next few years. Doesn't look bad actually.

Not sure how "Mustang" fits in though. It's just a fastback hard top Bronco.

Boss is a mustang thing. This image that inspired this idea for me is aping the Boss mustang look.
Hatchbacks are a big part of the mustang look and the new Bronco's frame lends itself easily to a fastback look.
Mustang has always been front engine, rear wheel drive. That's how the Bronco rides in 2wd.
Bronco... Mustang.... Do I need to break out the thesaurus for you?

I have no interest in doing this, but considering that my DD is a Lightning inspired Roush F150(everything a truck should not be ala 2wd, dropped suspension, and fast) I can see why someone would do it.

I only like to drive manual transmissions, and have a strong preference for RWD (2wd turns funny)

Ford has two, count them two, vehicles that meet that criteria. Actually, Ford only has two vehicles that meet the 1st criteria.

After owning 3 'Stangs in a row, my next car will be a 2-door Bronco.

They ended the video with the bronco facing the wrong way after flipping it back and forth. At the end shows rear door hinges on the left but the bronco hinges are on the right and the handle to open is on the left.

Could be someone fantasizing about a version for left lane driving(Australia, England, etc).
I think the hatchback angle/placement is also wrong. But overall I think the amateur auto concept art scene just does not care about realism.

Will Rousch be offering a Bronco package? Could be awesome to buy a base and have them do it up.

I just don’t believe the Big Bend was a real rousch.
