Brush Guard Removal

anyone who has the brush guard, are you able to simply unscrew it to remove it? If so, is the bumper finished (texture/color) underneath when the brush hairs is removed?
My order has a brush guard but i find myself going back and forth (i really like the rugged look of a guard but hate that it blocks the letters) on whether i want the guard look or not.

Yep, just unscrew it. The bumper will be powder-coated under where it mounts.
