Can you disassemble Grab Handles?

Just wondering if anyone has tried taking these completely apart to repaint?

I'm not sure about disassembling them (don't recall seeing anyone on here doing that... yet), however I have seen some folks do coloured inlays to change the colour. Could be a "Plan B" if you can't easily paint them.

I’ve tried. It’s a no go for simple replacement of the colored part. If you wanted to split them in order to attempt to hand paint, then yes. But the colored portion does not separate from the rubber.
