I'm not 100% sure if this goes here or it goes in the Lightning Subforum but here we go.

I'm looking to install a set of KC Hillites Flex Era 3 dual mode SAE Fog lights on my Capable Bumper. KC Hillites does not offer a kit to fit them on the bronco, but they do offer mounting kits for other Brands Like Toyota Trucks, Jeep JK, Jeep JK/JL/JT Plastic Bumpers and steel bumpers, and mounts for Subaru.

Does anyone knows if the mounting points of one of these Vehicles match the ones of the Capable bumper?

Looking at pictures online looks like the Jeep ones could be the closest match.

Any help here? There is not a lot of information out there about the capable bumper compared to the Modular so I'm here in the dark

Thanks

Yes, my issue is that I already installed KC Hillites Ditch lights and I prefer to have both Fogs and Ditch lights from the same brand, Going with Heretic, BD, Rigid or any other brand will result in mismatched color temperatures on ditch and fogs and will trigger my OCD :cwl:

Makes sense! Might have to do some modification to the brackets to make em work.

I just went with amber on the fogs if the ditches are white and save the headache and solve the color temp issue.

PS don't skimp on the fogs. I went off brand and am only content with them.

Thanks!

That's why I wanted to star with KC Hillites for the fogs. I was really impressed with their Flex Era 3 ditch lights Performance.

Not the best pictures but it shows how much extra lights The Flex era 3 adds

Perhaps you've thought of this, but just drop that bumper, 3-4 bolts each side, need a couple 5 gal buckets to lay it on, pull the factory fogs and you can see what's what. My bigger concern is that if KC doesn't have them compatible for our horses, what's the connection going to be like?

I have IAG's new Capable bumper Bullbar on it's way so probably next week I'll have to remove the bumper and then I can take some measurements, but I don't have any of the brackets from KC at hand so I'm still unable to figure out if they match.

I'll try contacting KC an email to see if they can help me out

Hello, I bought this mount on Amazon. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DRYP5XJN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A28LSN5QPAAAAL&th=1) I have different fog lights installed, but I think it's about the bracket spacing, which is the same for Ford, Subaru, Honda, and Nissan. So, I assume that if KC Lights offers a mount for Subaru, it should definitely fit the Bronco Capable Bumper. Have a great weekend across the big pond :)

Curious on this topic and sorry for hijacking the thread a little bit. Are the factory fog lights in the standard bumper and the capable bumper the same? Will aftermarket versions work on either bumper? Seems like ford wouldn't design 2 different versions of a fog light so i would assume they would be compatible with each version.

Hello, based on the information I have, Ford uses the same LED fog lights for both the " standard bumper" and the "capable bumper." The manufacturer of OEM Lud fog lightsis is Valeo, product code ZH82338291V. The mounting hole spacing and the light’s diameter are identical. I'm referring to the version intended for the EU market, but I don't believe the US models are any different. Best regards, Martin

Hi everyone, In place of the original fog lights, I used the following lights: (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DPSG1STY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) I'm using them as daytime running lights and high beams, wired through a relay and set to activate automatically with the OEM high beams. (Note: it's necessary to disable the “fog lights on with high beams” function via ForScan — here's the video I followed for wiring; it works reliably.) I mounted the fog lights in the center of the bumper. The lights I used ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDXJ226Q?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1) are not large, which ensures enough space for air to flow through. As fog lights, I'm satisfied — the build quality is excellent in my opinion. I have the fog lights connected to the internal AUX.
