Changed my order

Last Thursday a Ford rep was at my local dealer with this nice area51 Outer Banks 4 door. I had a 2 door on order and as reported on this forum the rep said I would move up the line if I switched to a soft top. Since I need the vehicle sooner then later I have switched my order to a four door with soft top. I will keep everyone posted as to what happens. I am a late reservation and did place order just before the April deadline. My order is a Big Bend 2.3 with mid package, sandstone seats, LED headlight upgrade, and overhead console switch. I dropped the tow package due to constraints. Thought everyone would enjoy the pics.

I don’t get people switching there orders to take options they really didn’t want in the first place like soft top . There’s going to be a lot of people upset that they did not stick with the build they actually wanted just so they can be one of the first to own the bronco of people
Needed a vehicle ASAP then this was never the vehicle for you

Same. I get folks want their Bronco sooner, who doesn't, but I want the Bronco I ordered

Ditto. I ordered what I wanted and I will NOT sacrifice one thing, regardless of its significance. I have a VIN, my build week has been moved twice but I am holding steady. I’m not paying $55k for something I don’t want.

I'm actually more excited since I switched to a soft top. Not for potentially getting it earlier (I don't think that will happen), but rather for the ease of going topless on the go. Could I have ordered a soft top from the start? Sure, but sometimes things end up the way they're supposed to and it takes a journey to get there.

Good luck with the order. I'm sticking with my exact original order come hell or high water. Only thing I would consider changing is the color.

Since it strikes me as a crap shoot who gets an email and who doesn't, it would suck if I changed stuff when I was going to get an email next week anyway. But I'm keeping the Bronco for life - so I have an incentive to not settle.

I hope everything works out for those who are settling and they get their build when they needed it.

That's how I feel. I had a 2 door and switched to a 4 door. Once I saw the 4 door I was happy I did. I am also not one of the "hard top or nothing" people. I like both so I would be happy with either

Agreed, this is a vehicle not a house with a 30 year mortgage. Add the hard top later or don't, either way your driving a bronco while the others eat cheese and watch youtube videos.....

Thanks for the photos. I ordered a 4 door Outer Banks in Area 51, so loved seeing them! Hard top, 2.7, and my build date is July 26th.

No tow package (I have other vehicles for that!)
