My first real job while in high school was as an apprentice at a family friends detail and restoration garage. Learning how to detail and specifically detailing exotics and restoring whatever people would pay to restore.

For the past ~10 years or so i've had a boutique detailing business on the side where I still work on a few of my old clients cars. Generally these are the 2-5 day details with 30-50ish hours of labor put into them and prices starting at about $1.5K depending on the vehicle and what they want done.

Although my personal time has been limited so i'm thinking of closing that business and just detailing my own cars from now on. Already have enough chemicals, tools, equipment and experience to keep my own fleet in good shape so why not.

Uhhhh, that falls into "other", i'm pretty sure.

I will use a combination of mother nature, car wash (whatever is convenient), detailers and my own (wo)manpower... depending on my motivation/funds.
So.... my answer to the poll is... YES!

Anybody thought about the tires fitting in the tracks of a touchless carwash 😜

Got a local place that will do an amazing in/out detail for $40. Going to be a biweekly regular there.
