Climate Fan Speed

I just finished my first long trip this last weekend. During the trip I noticed my climate fan speed would change speed on its own, usually when I was going fast (80mph+) . Usually as I hit fast speeds, the fan would turn up to max and blow hard, and the manual fan control would still show a "1". There was nothing I could do with the fan-speed button to stop it blowing hard except turn the climate control off.
Looking to others to let me know if this is some kind of "feature" from auto-climate control? Or just a bug I need Ford to figure out...

Normal. There's a note about it in the manual.

This is a feature. Welcome to the party. You may have a fan speed you want, but your Bronco will pick the fan speed that you need.
