Extreme wind noise in cold!!! Hey guys, I have read almost every thread possible about when wind noise , hard top issues, and insulation and tried numerous mods to try to prevent this from occurring. My one singular complaint about my 2022 Badlands is that when air temperature is below freezing, and especially if it is super windy outside, as it is in Colorado most of the winter! There is a visual separation between the top of the window and the seal. I have Tried silicone, I have adjusted with the reset suggestions, I have put weatherstripping, and I have made videos for the dealership (of course they do not really care, go away! ) So was wondering if anyone else experiences this problem and what they have done about it

Would mention also that during the spring and summer, even in bad weather and wind, there is no issue. I do not know if this is just my particular Broncos window seals and they need to be replaced or if this is more universal than reported.

I usually get a loud whistle when the temps go down and it gets worse when its windy. Usually from the passenger side.

Put rubber pipe insulation in the channels along the side (need to take off the 3 panels to do so). Made a world of difference in the winter for me

I have the exact same issue—it's very annoying at highway speeds. I occasionally hear it from the driver's side window as well. I don't know if the seals get cold and are less compressive or if its a design flaw with the window and seal. Readjusting the window does nothing to stop it

I hadn’t correlated the increase in sound to the change in temperature, but I’m glad to have seen this. I’ve had the same problem. It hasn’t gotten below freezing much where I am but there is definitely a noticeable increase in sound when it does.

Thanks for posting. I also have the same wind noise (hissing) coming from the driver side. Started when temps got around 40 F. There is a slight visible gap between the glass and rubber seal - light gets through but not water. The gap is about a half inch down from the top of the glass (rear side of window) - in other words, close to my left ear.

Hi Rich! I can look into your Bronco's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Bronco's VIN?

Just got cold in Wisconsin and passenger window started hissing. I used the window re-set from the switch, did not help. Also pulled the lower plugs and tilted the window tighter against the seal. No help. Just when it gets cold below 20 degrees.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

What rubber pipe insulation did you use? How long is each section? And what diameter? At my Menards foam ones are 6’ long. A microfiber cloth jammed it right above the rearview mirror (where the 2 panels meet) did stop the whistling for me.
