I just did this last month. What an awesome experience. Wish they offered more opportunities to do things like this or to dial into certain activities. Also does anyone know if this video system is available for purchase to add to a vehicle?
Great question....I asked them the same thing and they said it was proprietary. You can replicate the effect, through much manual effort, using a fitness tracker and a GoPro. They provided, at a cost of course, 9 hours of video on a thumb drive that included the telematics. Every Bronco in the Off-Roadeo is equipped with a dual facing dash camera. If you plan on attending you don't need to waste your time prepping for video.Looks good. What app did you use for the telemetry overlay on the video?
I know what you mean, I had my 16yo son with me, too. I tend to swear a lot when I'm excited/having a good time, which is why the longer video I published has music dubbed over. I found out that the video editing program I used has an AI feature that deletes spoken content. I was able to retain the other sounds and not rate the video R.good times- the video we got had an in car camera as well as the track view. got some funny conversations between my 14 yr old son and I.
the video recorded us at ~60mph on the desert trails and I think we topped at ~e-mph on the track.
I actually called them the week after I came back. They said the software and camera combo were proprietary to either FMC or the company that runs the event (two different companies). If anyone is planning to attend one of these events, maybe take a picture of the cameras, which I negelcted to do.I just did this last month. What an awesome experience. That would be great, if so. I checked this AM and didn't see it available on Android. The overlay looks like the Bronco Trail App with a "Raptor" skin.
I agree, it definitely checks the boxes. It doesn't seem to be available for Android that I can tell. The other interesting part of their "proprietary" setup is the cameras stop recording when the vehicle stops, then starts again when it moves. Either way, what you show fits the bill for sure. Here's a screen shot of the app. Seems to work just like the one here. The overlay was done on the iPhone app which also utilized the IPhone camera.![]()
In the Bronco Trail App for iOS, the video will keep rolling when you stop the vehicle. The app has a record button that you turn on and off.I agree, it definitely checks the boxes.
