Understand it's a long shot, but can anyone ID this clip and where it might belong? Fell from radio/ac panel while installing start-stop kill switch.

Thank you for the info. Don't know how the clip came out because I didn't touch anything above the radio.

I just finished that same job about an hour ago. Thought I was done then about 10 minutes later after all tools were put away, I too found a clip. Mine was one of the green plastic ones. It came out of the part that holds all the controls. I had to tear it back apart. Yours could be from that or if you found it on the driver's side floorboard it might be from the panel below the steering wheel. Autostop killer might be my new favorite mod!

Carefully inspected everything I'd removed to find source of clip before I put it back together but didn't see anything that looked right. According to Ducati1098, it's from the dash panel above the radio that I didn't disturb.

FWIW I don't remember any of the clips on the Bronco looking like yours when doing that job. That being said, I wasn't looking that closely.

It’s very possible the same clip is used elsewhere. I’m just not sure what all you had apart. Also possible it was just an extra one loose in there from the assembly line. That does happen from time to time 🤷‍♂️

Where exactly did you find it?

Probably not where it came from, but that same clip style holds in your sun visors and other crap up there on your windshield frame.

My guess is the lower dash (under the screen) just above the console...

The metal clip is also used in the little piece of plastic trim that goes on where the removable top pieces clamp down above the visor.

Plastic clips (that look similar) are used in the lower trim pieces.

It's also likely that it's just an extra someone at the factory dropped and it was lost forever in your internals, until you bumped it loose.
