“Droopier and plungier” Love it! You’re talking about Dana axles? Are the stock axles not from Dana? Good information.

I’m pretty new to cv axles, with the exception of side by sides and it’s common to carry extra axles just because of what they are required to tolerate, and do eventually fail. I guess it’s just part of the game. They even make roll cage brackets to hold extra axles for UTV’s.
Im already carrying extra inner tie rods in the Bronc.
I’m new to everything 🤷🏼‍♂️

But yeah, these are just much bigger units. Factory stuff is all 29 spline and smaller dimensions. Upgraydde to the 32 spline and it’s 32 spline to the diff, 35 spline center, and fatter on the outside before necking down to 29 spline to accommodate the factory stuff. Bells are much bigger and my understanding is that accommodates a bigger range for travel, in addition to the strength. I had that weird boot issue on ours but after replacing it and getting a better clamp on there it hasn’t been an issue.
