Thought and concern often crosses my small mind as I have now seen in actual Bronco and continue to read about the digital instrument displays.
Will there be any chance of the aftermarket helping with at least an additional add on old school speedometer.
Would not want to mess up the tech, just add a few analog meters/gauges. Any thoughts and opinions?

The Bronco has an analog speedometer just to the left of the fancy stuff. I understand what you're getting at though. I really don't like that digital tach that Ford came up with. But, companies are marketing to the younger generation that I'm not a part of anymore. :)

My only worry with the tech these days is it’s so integrated that swapping out something as simple as the gauge cluster will be an expensive monumental task… I would prefer either all analog or all digital though. Not a fan of the current setup. The UI is not pleasant to my eyes at all.

I assume you meant analog tachometer.

I found I didn't really look at the analog speedometer when I test drove one, it's too far down and to the side. I used the speed on the screen more.

I agree, The first digital speedometer I owned is in the wife's '18 Mustang. The digital screen is in the middle of the analog speedometer, and tach. At first I didn't like it, but after awhile is became the point where my eyes went. And, it gives you the speed without having to figure out if you're going 55, or 58. Now I surely don't know about the digital tach in the Bronco, but I'm guessing I can get used to it in time. I hope.

Yes, hope so. Words... are not my strong suit, tachometer was my intent. Just hoping Ford will add an accessory.

i would settle for a digital tach with a sweeping needle like in the display on the glass cockpit in the latest generation of VW's.

no need to retrain my brain that sweeping into red on the dial is 'bad'

Weird how generations change. Mine, we all had the giant aftermarket tachs screwed to the dash

Does any vehicle have an actual analog tach anymore? I’m no expert, but I would suspect that even the ones that look analog are digital behind the scenes.

I'd have preferred an all-digital dash or at the minimum an analog speedo, analog tach and a screen with the other info. I'm not a fan of the mix that Ford settled on for the Bronco.

the days of analog gauges is over. a cable actuated mechanism is no longer economical to produce or service, a led display is so much cheaper to produce and maintain over the differing components, it simply does not make sense any more. personally, i would prefer if manufacturers still used a key type steering lock and ignition switch. now your option is to save money and buy used or get used to new technology...

Or on the hood. :)
I wonder if you could see it if you use the Bronco bolts on the cowl that they meant for pod lights.

I drove a manual the other day and found that 1) I never once looked at the analog speedo and 2) the digital tach was completely useless. Why they didn't reverse that setup is completely beyond comprehension. Someone's fired.
