My 25 Badlands came with the upfitter switches, I haven't used any yet but I haven't noticed any lights on them. I plan to install some rear lights and use one of them, do I need to have some programming done to activate them?
do your switches change to amber when you flip them?

Look about right?

Also the 4x4 truck leds harness looks like it’s designed for 3 lights on each side
Assuming just leave one disconnected?

thx

I would center them both but that's just my OCD.

Yes we provide a triple harness so that if/when you want to add a 3rd light later your wiring is already there. Just tape it up out of the way.

thanks! ugh...running the wire for the drivers side is a major pita.

now only prob is nothing happens when I flip the Upfitter switches!!!!
I installed them in my 25 base a few weeks ago using the new harness, fuse box and of course switches. The blue light comes on for all switches but when I flip them nothing happens!!! I thought that was maybe because I had nothing connected. But adding the fog lights to 3 aux wires (3,4,5 for BL) didn't do anything.

ugh!! any ideas?
appreciate you all!
Why is it a PITA? The wiring is the easiest part of it. All you have to do is (from the driver side) throw the other side of the harness over your skid plate and connect it to the passenger side. Then connect the driver side. Then fish the wires straight UP into the engine bay from the driver side. Pull all the slack from the passenger side and zip tie it up. Pull the slack UP into the engine bay, zip tie it up there. Then route it past the battery to your upfitter wires.

Wiring is a piece of cake don't overthink it :) Takes us like 10 seconds to route the wiring when we do installs.

You are saying you installed them in your 25... is it safe to assume your truck DID NOT have upfitter switches and you bought/installed the wiring and switch panel. Did you ALSO buy and install the module that goes under the fuse panel (it's a relay panel I think). That has to be added.

Also, did you remember to attach the GROUND cable on our harness to your chasis? Maybe you forgot to do that.

Nothing to program if it came from the factory, they are ready to go.
That's what I'd like to think but if I understand the previous posts the switches should be lit even if not used.

I did not check the color my switches, but they came from the factory, and a couple weeks ago my friend and I installed ditch lights, using 2 of the switches and the lights work fine.

thanks!
the space on drivers side was pretty tight but was able to fish it through!
taped up the third. lights/kit seem great!
mine didn't have upfitters so I added the switches, fuse panel and harness.
I connected the ground.

I'll check, I thought it was posted here that were illuminated blue in the off position.
right but do they turn orange when you flip them even without anything connected?

Correct, just checked mine. Blue when I open the door, amber/orange if the power is on, and the switch pushed to the on position. Turns amber/orange even if nothing is hooked to that wire.

Ohh then I dunno. I've never actually installed the upfitters after the fact. We just install actual switch panels up by the sunglass holder which gives you 8 switches and more amperage.

Sounds like somethings not done right with your upfitter. You can test that by checking your upfitter wires with a volt meter. If your not getting power, you missed a step. What that step is I have no idea. Do you need to program something with FORSCAN to tell your truck you have upfitters now? I'd like to think so.

Also, did you double check that it's setup right? I think you can set those switches up a few ways depending on how fuses are installed and/or buses are bypassed? Again i've never done it but I've read something about that.

The blue backlight turns on when the truck is in ACC mode. They are always lit up when the switch is "active" and ready to go.

When you turn the actual switch on, it turns amber/orange indicating it's actually ON and providing power to the upfitter.

I just checked my 25 model they turn orange when switched but aren't blue in the ACC position, even with the headlights on.

I recently installed the same Black Friday sale Diode Dynamics dual fog light kit from 4x4TruckLEDs.com on my 2024 Badlands with stock upfitter switches. I centered mine in the mod bumper openings.
Very quality lights, brackets and harness, easy installation. I highly recommend.

Rather than lay the harness on top of the skid plate, I wire-tied it to the existing cross-frame wire bundle behind the radiator in the engine bay:

I think it’s terrific that 4x4TruckLeds furnishes their wiring harness for the double fog lights kit that’s already pre-wired to rock ā€˜n roll a future plug ā€˜n play third pair of lights. They should point out in their sales literature the nice fact that their harness is upgrade-ready. Will definitely be adding a third pair of lights from 4x4TruckLEDs down the road.

In the meantime dialectic grease and electrical tape will seal off the spare connectors, or these o-ringed sealed Deutsch dust caps can be obtained cheaply from Amazon.

At first I mistakenly thought that the DD SSC2 Sport SAE fog light output was a bit underwhelming, but once I got them properly aligned there’s a lot of bang for the buck illumination! They penetrate fog, falling rain/snow, have a wide enough spread for cornering and lighting up the ditches, and have a sharply discernible cut off so I know I’m not blinding oncoming vehicles. And the amber back-lit running lights function is very cool.

Here’s a picture with the white SAE fogs on and the yellow fogs set to backlight:
